Are you interested in running during the winter season in the Cross Country competition? It is a good way to maintain your fitness; it is fun, muddy, sometimes wet and doesn't take too long on a Saturday morning. Athletes, new to Cross Country, are welcome and any questions that you might have will be answered by our Team Manager, Deborah Clarke. Print this information flyer before the start of the season. The season starts on May 5th, at the Aberfeldie Track, Corio Street, Moonee Ponds. Please arrive early to register your name. The fee is $2.00 per week which goes towards trophies and morning tea for the athletes. Please print this timetable for details of dates and venues. ***Note - The final day of event should say Saturday 11th August (not 12th). Athletes must compete in at least 50% of events to be eligible for a trophy. It is also a requirement that parents will need to assist and if you are rostered on, you are expected to be there assisting for the whole morning. For the weekly results and other entry forms, please go to the Results tab and click on the relevant date in the Cross Country section. Region Cross Country Competition is scheduled for 23rd June 2012 at Preston Reservoir. The entry form will be posted when it is available. All athletes must be registered with Little Athletics Victoria and must wear their Coburg Centre uniform when competing at Region XC. Club uniform is acceptible at normal weekly competition but it is much easier to see our athletes if they wear our red and white top. There are many other opportunities to compete in Cross Country across the state. See attached flyers for Casey and Southern Metro Athletes who do not compete at weekly Cross Country competition are still eligible to compete at State Cross Country run by Little Athletics Victoria on 5th August at Lardner Park, Warragul.
