Congratulations to our 3 teams who all earned a sash... U7 Girls came 3rd U11 and U15 Boys both came 1st. WELL DONE kids... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you are looking some more competition I would like to encourage athletes to consider entering the Sandown Relays on Saturday 28th August. This event is held on the Sandown Car Race Track, with athletes competing in relay teams of 3 competitors.
Age groups are open to U7 > U15.
Race distances are the same as XC.
Please see attached flyer for more information.
I will handle the entries for Coburg Centre, just let me know if you are available and I will form up the teams.
When I have compiled the teams I will let you know who is competing.
Don’t hesitate to put your name forward and let me work out who can race with you, but by all means go out and form your own team.

State Track & Field Results - Boys (All) Girls (Sat) Girls (Sun) Fantastic effort by all athletes. Thank you to parents for assisting with your duties as allocated. And, thank you to our Team Managers and to the athletes who did not have an event but came along to support their fellow members anyway. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Listings are now available showing which Boys and Girls have qualified or progressed in eligibility to compete at State Championships on the weekend of 20th & 21st March. Well done to all the athletes who will be representing us. Please click on a link below for further information. State Track & Field timetable Spikes Uniform reminder Olympic Park venue set up ***Do not forget to wear your Coburg red/white singlet !!! Plain black shorts must be worn and the correct spikes (<7mm) Leave yourself plenty of time to get to Olympic Park. Your event will not wait for you. |

Go to the Little Athletics Victoria website www.lavic.com.au Look under the Calendar and you will find lots of opportunities to attend Open Days around the state. Coburg 6th March 2011 Closing date for Coburg All Star Day will be 21st February 2011. **No late entries will be accepted.** Coburg All Star Day - TIMETABLE Coburg athletes may wear their Coburg red & white singlet or their club uniform. All athletes MUST wear their IGA patch or tag on the front of their uniform. Visiting athletes will be given a tag upon arrival at the track on the day. **Our track timing system uses barcode technology so all athletes need to have a tag with a barcode on it. |

Coburg Harriers |

Eventually, all little athletes grow up, but that doesn’t mean that their involvement with athletics has to end. Coburg Little Athletics shares the Harold Stevens Athletics Track with the Coburg Harriers Athletics Club, and all athletes over the age of 12 generally, are invited by the Harriers to compete with them on Saturday afternoons. Each year several of our boys and girls get a taste for senior athletics with the Harriers after Little Athletics is finished for the day.
